For the first time, the Dominican Republic through the Universidad Abierta para Adultos (UAPA) will host the European congress "Containers Day 2026", an event addressing Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps and Cybersecurity, with the participation of international and national experts, to be held on Saturday August 22 at the university campus in the city of Santiago.

The initiative is driven by Mente de Hackers, UAPA, CADESOFT and Scale2Connect and will offer a platform for the latest technology trends. "Containers Day 2026 is more than an international event, it is an opportunity to strengthen your academic and professional profile", said Dr. Zoila Morales, coordinator of the scientific meeting.

The congress includes keynote conferences, talks and workshops led by recognized voices in new technologies to provide a new vision of the digital world for participants and professionals from across the country, said the director of the School of Engineering and Technology.

The programme includes 20 speakers from Greece, Spain, the United States, Mexico and the Dominican Republic, 12 sessions, 3 workshops and one day for a great experience, according to the organizers.
